Vishal Sikka is appointed as CEO of Infosys

According to the news publish in economic times, Vishal Sikka is appointed as CEO of Infosys. Vishal SIkka is a former SAP AG executive board member will replace SD Shibulal on August 1. Company also announced that Executive chairman NR Naranyan Murthy & Executive Vice Chairman S GopalGrishan will release from their duties on June 12.

On Twitter Vishal Sikka tweeted “Humbled to lead Infosys an iconic pioneer in IT. Looking forward to learn & work with Infoscions & global clients on breakthrough innovation.” Narayan Murthy also congrats Sikka on twitter and tweet “Happy to welcome Vishal to Infosys. I am confident that Infosys is in capable hands."

Vishal SIkka has joined the SAP in 2002 as head of its advanced technology group and in 2010 he become the part of company executive board and developed HANA, which brought a business of Rs 5,064 crore.  Sikka was a front runner in the race of SAP CEO but because of internal polities he left the company in 2013.

Vishal has BS computer science degree from Syracuse University, New York & completed doctoral program from Stanford.
