Presently company has production capacity of 366 million tonnes (MT) and production capacity of industry is expected to increase to around 550 MT by FY20.

India’s infrastructure sector is growing at a rapid rate and government is initiating various infrastructure projects like 100 smart cities. Rapid growth of infrastructure industry is increasing demand of cement and manufacturing material that act as a booster for cement industry.

To grab the opportunities of cement industry foreign companies like Lafarge, Holcim and Vicat are setting up production units and operational units across India.

India is the second largest largest cement producer of India and is a leading job industry. Because of the industrial development numerous infrastructure projects, road networks and housing projects are projected to be develop in future. These things are boosting cement manufacturing industry. Some of the prominent cements manufacturing companies of India and mentioned below

Portland Blast Furnace slag cement (PBFSC): This cement is mainly used in construction of massive projcets inclusing Dams.

Sulphate Resisting Portland Cement: This cement is useful in the areas where concrete has an exposure to ground water. Under any such environment, concrete is vulnerable to sulphates attack. So, by using this cement one can reduce the impact of damage to the structure.

Rapid Hardening Portland Cement: This is very similar to OPC but slightly more fine and has huge strength that makes casting easy.

Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC): It is popularly known as grey cement or OPC. Main components of this type of cement are  Iron (Fe2O3), Magnesium (MgO), Silica (SiO2), Alumina (AL2O3), and Sulphur trioxide (SO3) components are used.

Portland Pozolona Cement (PPC): Portland Pozolona Cement is used in massive constructions because it possess huge strength and has low cost.

Oil Well Cement: Oil Well Cement is made from iron, coke, limestone and iron scrap and used in constructing.

Clinker Cement: Clinker Cement the construction of complexes, houses and bridges and manufacture at very high temperature of  1400 to1450 degree Celsius. Some of the prime ingredients of this cement are iron, quartz, clay, limestone and bauxite.
